What's happening · pool
Mid-April to mid-May — openings: we do about 600 in five weeks. Book your date as early as March.
Late May to June — the water warms up (24 to 27°C with a heat pump), chemical balancing, first swims.
July and August — peak use: weekly maintenance, pH and chlorine monitoring, top-up filling.
September — the best swims of the year in still-warm water and a quiet yard.
Late September to October — closings: purge, antifreeze, winter cover. Don't wait for the first freeze.
What's happening · spa
November to March — peak use: at −25°C, with the water at 39°C and the steam rising, it's the best part of the week.
April and May — annual draining, shell cleaning, filter cartridge change.
June to August — reduced use: lower the temperature to 36°C, keep the cover closed, monitor the pH.
September and October — checking the heater and cover insulation before the deep cold.

The installation calendar fills up by February.
An in-ground pool needs a permit, excavation and a 3-to-6-week window. Sign in February, and you'll be swimming in June. Sign in June, and you'll be swimming in August — whatever's left of it.
Spas are delivered year-round, in 3 to 5 weeks. December is our second busiest month.
