When to Repair Your Shoes Instead of Replacing Them
A good pair of shoes can last for years, as long as you look after it. Many people throw them away at the first sign of wear when a repair would be enough. Here is how to tell the difference.
Signs a pair is worth repairing
- An upper still in good condition: supple leather, without deep cracks.
- A worn sole or chewed heel: these are the most common repairs.
- A seam coming apart: easy to restitch when you act early.
- A comfort you love: a well broken-in pair is precious.
Bring in your shoes before the wear reaches the structure. A heel redone in time protects the sole, and a sole redone in time protects the rest of the shoe.
We assess each pair honestly. If a repair isn’t worth it, we will say so. And if it is, you will get back shoes ready to go again.
