Keeping Your Bread Fresh for Longer

Good bread is made to be enjoyed the same day, but nobody eats a large loaf in one sitting. Fortunately, with a few good habits, you can keep its taste and texture much longer.

Our tricks to keep it good

  • A paper or cloth bag for crusty breads: the crust stays crisp.
  • Avoid the refrigerator, which dries out the crumb faster.
  • Freeze in slices whatever you won’t eat within two days.
  • Place the cut side down on the board to protect the crumb.

Bread that has hardened isn’t lost. Quickly run under water and then warmed in the oven, it regains much of its softness. And if it is truly dry, it makes excellent breadcrumbs, croutons or French toast.

Tell us how many you are at home, and we will suggest the bread best suited to your rhythm. The idea is that nothing goes to waste.
