Learning through play, at their own pace
Free play and guided activities: awakening, motor skills, language and socialization. Each group follows a program suited to their age.
The Chicks
Sensory awakening, floor movement and lots of cuddles. Each baby follows their own nap and feeding schedule.
The Fireflies
Language, independence and first friendships. Blocks, songs, water play and open spaces to run and try things themselves.
The Explorers
Gentle kindergarten prep: pre-writing, drawing, nature science and group projects.
Four steps, no unpleasant surprises
From the first registration to the first nap, here is how a child's arrival with us goes.
-
Register on La Place 0-5
The Québec government's single registration window. Register your child and choose Les Petits Soleils among your daycares.
-
A visit together
Come see the rooms, meet the team and ask your questions. Visits are by appointment.
-
The spot offer
When a spot opens up in your child's group, we call you to offer it.
-
A gentle start
The first days are shorter, with a parent if needed, while your child finds their bearings.
Simple and transparent
Subsidized daycare: the base contribution is set by the Quebec government. Spots are assigned through La Place 0-5 and our internal waitlist.
Full-time
5 days a week. Meals, snacks and materials included.
Part-time
Fixed days to preserve your child's routine. Subject to available spots.
Waitlist
Register your child on La Place 0-5, then contact us: we'll confirm your position.
You may be wondering…
The questions we hear most often during visits. Still have one? Write to us.
What should my child bring?
Labelled spare clothes, boots and a snowsuit depending on the season, and a cuddly toy for nap time. Meals and snacks are prepared on site.
How do you handle allergies?
Meals and snacks are peanut-free. Each child's allergy sheet is posted in the kitchen and in the room, and staff are trained to use auto-injectors.
What happens if my child is sick?
We follow public health guidelines for children in childcare. If a fever starts during the day, we call you right away to pick your child up.
Can my child attend part-time?
Yes, two or three set days a week, depending on available spots in their group. Set days protect the child's routine.
How will I know about their day?
Every evening, the daily log tells you everything: meals, nap, mood and learning. And the educator takes the time to talk with you at pick-up.
