Organizing a Basic Pantry

A well-planned pantry spares you last-minute shopping trips and improvised meals that cost a lot and leave you hungry. With a few basic foods, you can prepare a multitude of dishes.

Essentials to always have

  • Starches: pasta, rice, potatoes, rolled oats.
  • Canned goods and legumes: tomatoes, beans, chickpeas, tuna.
  • Fresh items that keep: eggs, onions, carrots, garlic.
  • Seasonings: salt, pepper, oil, spices and herbs.

Take a look through your pantry before making your list. You will avoid duplicates and spot what is nearing its date. Use the oldest items first.

If an ingredient is missing to finish a recipe, stop by. We are here to help out, even for just a few items, so you don’t have to do a big grocery run.
