Questions to Ask Your Accountant
A meeting with your accountant shouldn’t be limited to signing documents. It is a chance to gain valuable insight into your situation. You just need to know what to ask.
Useful questions to ask
- What has changed in my situation compared with last year?
- Which important dates should I watch during the year?
- Which documents should I keep, and for how long?
- Are there decisions to plan ahead before the end of the year?
Don’t be afraid to ask simple questions. If a term escapes you, ask for it to be explained. A client who understands their numbers makes better decisions.
Bring your questions in writing before the meeting. This advice is general; for your specific case, a consultation remains the best approach.
