Simple Habits for Healthy Teeth
Caring for your teeth isn’t complicated, but it is a matter of regularity. What you do every day counts far more than what you do once in a while. Here is a reminder of the basics.
Everyday habits
- Brush your teeth twice a day, gently and without rushing.
- Clean between your teeth with floss or small brushes, once a day.
- Replace your toothbrush as soon as the bristles splay or wear down.
- Limit sugary snacking between meals.
A soft-bristled brush and light pressure protect your gums better than vigorous brushing. Take the time to reach every surface, including the back of your mouth.
This advice is general. Every mouth is different, which is why we recommend regular visits. Our team can show you in person the habits best suited to your situation.
