Sitting at Your Desk in a Back-Friendly Way
Spending long hours seated is part of daily life for many people. Without making it a source of worry, it helps to know that a few simple adjustments can make the day more comfortable.
A few general guideposts
- Feet flat on the floor, knees roughly level with the hips.
- Screen at eye level, about an arm’s length away.
- Forearms supported, without raising the shoulders while typing.
- Regular breaks to stand, walk and stretch gently.
The best chair in the world doesn’t replace movement. Changing position often is more useful than searching for the perfect posture. A short walk down the hallway or a few gentle stretches already help.
This advice is general and does not replace an assessment. If pain persists or worries you, book an appointment: we can look at your situation and discuss it with you.
