Preparing Your File for a Successful Print
What you see on a screen never quite looks like what you get on paper. With a few precautions when preparing your file, you will get results closer to what you imagine.
First rule: work with good quality images. A photo that looks fine on screen can look blurry once printed if it is too small. The larger the print, the more detailed the image needs to be.
Points to check before sending
- Leave a safety margin around important text
- Allow a slight overflow if the background runs to the edge
- Convert text to outlines or include the fonts used
- Proofread the spelling and contact details one last time
Colors deserve attention too. A screen emits light while paper reflects it: a vivid blue on your computer will often look a bit more subdued once printed. For an exact color, like that of your logo, talk to us in advance.
Feel free to send us your file before finalizing it. We will look at it with you and point out anything that might cause trouble. A few minutes of checking avoids many reprints.
